Lomi Lomi Temple Style Massage is an ancient indigenous Hawaiian healing art practiced by native Hawaiians that integrates shamanic movement, chant and prayer.  Lomi Lomi is intentional and sacred transformational bodywork, rooted in pule (prayer) and aloha (love.)

Lomi Lomi is known for its long flowing, seamless and loving strokes gliding all over the entire body. The intention is to affect the mana (energy) of the receiver; it is deeply relaxing.  The music is dynamic with rhythmic tribal drumming and gorgeous melodic mele (chants.)  You're invited to simply surrender into the beautiful, flowing movements that replicate the wind and waves of a tropical island.

EXPECTATIONS:

The Lomi Lomi session is 2 hours long which begins with the Hawaiian Healing Intention ritual and concludes with open-ended time for integration. 

The body is completely undraped except the hips which will be draped with a silky cloth. Please read the Draping Waiver for women, further down page, thank you.

For Women: Your chest will be draped.  However, you will be presented a Draping Waiver to read and consider if you'd like to be undraped during the heart opening segment and/or draped and undraped at any point or throughout the session.  The form will be put in your chart.  You can alter or rescind your consent at any time, be it during the session or outside the session.

OILS:  Sadly, Sacred Lomi is no longer producing and selling their well-beloved Sacred Lomi oils.  Instead, Lyn will be using formulas created by Kate's Magik Intention-Based Aromatherapy.  https://www.katesmagik.com/  The carrier oils Lyn uses are fractionated (unscented) coconut oil and/or EarthLite Pure Organic Massage Oil.  

Your First Lomi Lomi Massage, expect to be here up to 3.5 hours:

New client fills out an intake packet.

Lyn will share an introduction to the history of Lomi Lomi massage and its rituals.

Once the Lomi Lomi massage is over, you're invited to linger until you feel grounded enough to travel. No rush, just peace. 

Enjoy the refreshments!  Small sandwiches, chocolates, fresh fruits and chilled tropical fruit-flavored coconut milk beverages will be provided.  Please let Lyn know of any food allergies, dietary restrictions and concerns. 

Please do not eat for two hours prior and do not plan anything strenuous after the Lomi Lomi massage.

Please remove your contact lenses before coming in. 

Please provide at least 48 hours notice for cancellation, for Lyn sets up the entire room for Lomi Lomi,  usually 2-3 days before your session date.

Oncology Massage  provides safe, effective massage for people with cancer and cancer histories.  

I've completed Tracy Walton & Associates, LLC, course Oncology Massage Therapy: Caring For Clients With Cancer.  Your session will be customized to work around side-effects and complications of radiation, chemotherapy, surgery, and medications.  Blood counts are considered also.

Adjustments are made for the survivor and thriver too, for example if lymph nodes were removed or bone metastases are present.

Your first session will be 90 minutes long for it involves a thoughtful and sensitive conversation on health history and expectations prior to the hands-on massage.  Once you're on the massage table, careful attention to your well-being entails a slow and gentle session for your comfort.
